Backyard 1960's

Retro day again today!

The photos below are of the backyard in the mid 1960's. 

This is an earlier photo of the backyard, with a vegetable garden in the lower part of the yard.

Here it is a little later, I think it was 1966, with lawn and flowers.  You can see the new patio and retaining boards.

The same day, from the lower lawn looking up at the retaining boards and new patio.  Look at that new, sturdy deck on the left!  I must say the simple fact that it is still standing after all these years (even if the stairs are a little shaky) is a testament to the builder.

This is what it looks like today, standing on that same patio.   A muddy mess.

 

Here I was standing in the lower area, looking up.  The retaining boards are still there, to the right of the concrete stairs, just a little rotted, and covered with mud.
